Might be able to take it out SUnday for a test session, but I doubt it because I can just imagine what my bak will be feeling like by SUnday. Our goal is to get the engines swapped, and then still have time to put the boat on the water at least 1 time before the Miller's Deal at Lake San Antonio, which is 2 weeks away. SHouldn't have any problems with that goal but ya never know.... I know that the 476 has less HP than the 468, but it has been a VERY reliable engine for the past 4 years that I've owned it, and with 2 750's on it, the motor will push the boat into the mid 80's. The lighting was a result of a violent electrical storm that blew into the city around 9 p.m. The storm brought thunder, wind and rain in scattered areas of the city. One strike, which occurred about 9 p.m., ignited two tall palm trees along Avalon Drive and a few moments of excitement for nearby residents who were outside watching the storm. "We were actually sitting out back. It just scared the hell out of everybody," said Jim Dixon, a nearby resident who in his backyard. "It sounded like Babe Ruth hit a 500-foot ball." Dixon said the strike briefly lit up the neighborhood and ignited the tree it initially struck. With the winds, a palm tree next to it was also ignited. Charlie Cassens, city public information officer, said the blaze also caused damage to a house next to the tree. "The tree was engulfed in flames and the radiating heat caused a window to break and the curtains ignited, but were immediately extinguished by (Lake Havasu City) firefighters," he said. Cassens said fire investigators believe simultaneous lightning strikes damaged a house on Park Terrace Avenue and ignited a neighboring palm tree. He said several appliances in the house failed and there was damage to the roof. "There was also a hot spot on the roof that the firefighters extinguished," he said. The Lake Havasu City Fire Department received several calls for service but Cassens said they were all related to the Avalon and Hidden Valley incidents. As monsoon season progresses, Cassens said such light shows and instances of lightning strikes are normal. "That is not uncommon for that type of storm we had last night," he said. Last September, lightning destroyed a house on Star Lane. The family inside safely evacuated the house in what fire personnel deemed a "miracle."
