This was posted by Boatcop

I can confirm that there was a collision between a PWC and an outboard runabout on Saturday evening about 7:13 PM, in the area of La Paz County Park/Road Runner.

The 35 year old female operator of the PWC was fatally injured.

2 persons in the boat received minor injuries.

The incident is under investigation. As always, please hold comments and speculation until all the information is in and the investigation is concluded.

What was she doing out at 7:13pm it was dark as hell out ???

As much as I hate lake lice, I would have to guess she was probably doing the same thing the runabout was doing.  Trying to get one last run in, or getting to camp/hotel from up or down the river.  It's not fair to blame the PWC'r for being out late, when the boat was out late as well.

<00FFFF'>You know, I have NEVER seen as many boating accidents in one area as what there are down there.  You SOCal/AZ boat folks live in the Boating Accident capitol of the Worl (Spelled that one incorrectly on purpose for Art :D  :laugh )
But seriously, what's the deal down there?  Too many boats for the amount of water?  Too much booze flowing down there?  Too many people with lotsa $ but no brains?
I don't know man, seems like I hear of at least 1 or 2 fatal accidents down there every week.  It's really a shame.... :(

<00FFFF'>Parker, Havazoo, Needles, La Paz, Road Runner, etc etc.  It don't matter....it's all the same.  I hear about boating accidents all the time in the whole general area.  It's really too bad......
I haven't heard of a Fatal boating accident in NorCal yet all year!  And believe me, when there is one, it is BIG news and they talk about it on the news for a few days about boating/water safety and stuff, because it is such a rarity up here.
