If Hot Boat stays down long enough, mementum will be totally lost and it will take a long time to get back up to the hits and daily thread counts they are used to.

I don't post there nearly as much as I used to, even before this.  I was getting the impression they didn't really us BSers hanging around there.  Probably just my impression/opinion though.

Totally agree with that...and that is the case with any website...If this was a website at my company; even a non-critical one, people heads would start being on chopping blocks...websites down for a day, is like Carerra Boats closing there doors for a month...

Jordy, maybe you should give Mike (Rexone) the name of Catalost

:)  :D  :)
Posted by: RiverDave on Jan. 09 2003,10:15 am

Sorry guys I was out "perusing..."   :D

In any event,

Jordy, yes I got it figured out.   I'm gonna pop the 80 bucks.  The sad thing is to add some preload to the suspension you need this little spanner wrench.  (Usually you can cheat with a screw driver, but it ain't working)

So I called them and I asked them if they'd mind just tightening it up a little bit, there response was.. No problem!  OF course it's more time which = more money.   I'm so disgusted with the whole deal I'm thinking about telling them to stick there tires right in there ass.

Thor,  I primarilly ride out in Parker.   Every now and again though I find myself in Ocatilla.  :)

Did you back off the top lock ring first?  How about a big pair of channel locks to back that top ring off and then run it down with the screwdriver???  Those spanner wrenches aren't all that expensive from what I recall and they're nice to have around.   :D

Welcome...78

RD, I know what you mean...I stopped smoking on New Year, so I was already edgy...and now with HB down, I am pretty much close to balistic.
Posted by: HolyMoly on Jan. 09 2003,11:43 am

Maybe that was the deal with the recent stalkers on Hot Boat.  Maybe their main forum, www.disgruntledasswipes.com, went down for a few days and they had to venture over to Hot Boat to sooth their posting needs?

just a theory!

Iocane powder, I'd be my life on it.
Posted by: blown 472 on Jan. 09 2003,12:18 pm

When hb comes back up it will be like everyone waiting outside a room to get in, and then when the doors fly open we all run in and go, ahhhh.

No magic dust here...bought used, got rid of all the depriciation and it is pretty much stock 502 w/Whipple....However, next Engine upgrade will be GT upgrading the existing 502 to 725-750, new Whippled 540 EFI GT Motor, or if I can find a killer deal (have seen a couple on OSO), I will go that way...don't really want to spend 30K on new motor, but I won't be doing for at least another year..I am fine for now.
Posted by: 78Eliminator on Jan. 09 2003,1:09 pm

Yeah, well, I'm pulling my motor and going to see what I have as far as compression ratio.  If I am under 10:1, I am going to get a cam and blow it this winter.  Just 5-7 lbs.  If I grenade, I will get nice pistons and rods, etc....
