Just need to verify my ring gaps on the FE motor.

Just go by the MFG recommendations, it will tell on the paper work that comes with the rings. It will give the gaps for the size bore and what type of application you have!.. :good Did you get file to fit??.. :stupid

Yep, but I only had to file 2 rings... all the other were right down the middle of the recommendation.  

Seemed a little odd,  :stupid I just wanted to double check.

Wow that's weird, file to fit are .005 over they shouldn't even go in the bore!.. :stupid  :stupid

Start at around .060 and go up from there untill oil squirts out your spark plug holes :drink  :drink  :rotflmao
