Took the Yami local on Monday.  Got on the water by 7:30a and hauled the nephews around "boardin".  Still trying to get the dual engine / speed controls right.  Lots O' Fun.  Boat ran great; ready for Havasu...  We were back on the trailer by 12:30p as the water was getting pretty chew'd up.  Headed home for some BBQ and  ÂÂ
Heard there was a big fight (alcohol induced/no arrests) in the cove on Sunday, and somebody launched but forgot to use their blower; burnt the boat up and sent 4 peeps to the hospital.
Just yer normal Holiday Week-End..

The cops were already in the cove BEFORE the fight began, but left when the fire began on the opposite end of the lake. While they were dealing with the fire, the fight began after a dog wissed on someone else's belongings. The cops responded in mass quantities, but the suspects were gone by the time the cops got there.

<00FFFF'>I'm glad you had fun and didn't suffer any drama.
Too bad about the fire, but some people just don't get it when it comes to gas fumes. My other boat has a covered Volvo and I just don't trust the blowers. I always raise the cover to start it after sitting because I'm just plain chickenshit about blowing up.

I have the best solution, shit can that fkn cover it's a death trap!.. I had a friend who almost lost his life over a cover, he just had to have one thought that was the ultimate in cool..Well one time he was in the back looking at something and his wife decides to start it up, the blowers didn't work and you can't hear them anyhow but it don't make any difference unless you turn on the key and wait till the blower blows all the fumes out. Anyhow it went KABOOM and he ended up in the water, he was in a coma for 3 days and they thought he was a gonner but I guess it wasn't his time and he came around, later he said he never felt a thing and the doctors said the cover is what took the biggest hit and probably saved his life!...I won't go near a boat with a cover on it until it's running!..

It looks a lot cooler with a big bad ass blower sticking out the top any way...

Where do the fumes come from Are they from fuel leaks Or they just part of normal operation

Fumes will come from the motor and carb because of heat expansion and it can't get out and it fills the area under the cover, makes for a bomb!..

<00FFFF'>Real deadly fumes come from beer and tacos.

I notice fumes just with the cover on in storage. I open up the ass-end at least once a week to let the air circulate.
