Printable Version of Topic -HD Forums +--Forum: Trips & Events +---Topic: Damm It!! started by AZKC Posted by: AZKC on Aug. 20 2003,10:49 am Sorry folks Becky and I are not going to make it I got a phone call from my Mom(she lives here in AZ) this morning and my little brother(37yrs old) is MIA in Texas. He has never missed her Bday and he did not call her on Monday(her Bday) So she is freakin, she has not heard from him in about a week which is odd and I need to be around if something comes up. This sucks either way, may end up in Texas playing where's Waldo and I missed a nice weekend at the river. Maybe this will settle down by Friday and we can jet over but if I know my bro this is going to be serious drama. I'm thinkin he's in lock down, he has a few DUI's over the years. But my Mom is going to stress out until he turns up. I've been searching court records in a few counties I know he hangs around in   but Texas is a big state.   If something changes on this, I'll post an update. Posted by: AZKC on Aug. 22 2003,10:41 am News Flash.....Well he turned up in Galveston County jail in TX. Now the drama, He was scheduled for court on the 20th for a DUI(#2) he got when he wrecked/totaled a company truck. But rather than wait till then, he decided to get nailed for another DUI(#3) on the 18th in a company truck. So he was in the drunk tank when he was supposed to be in court so the bail was forfeited. Then the bail bondsman was hunting him down, the company truck was/is missing still so his work(which has fired him) was hunting him down. Have not confirmed but I heard thru my sister he's in till his trial because of fear of flight(no bail this time) trial may not be for 30 days. If convicted of the third DUI, after he gets done with the trial for the second one, he could get 30 years.  Boy is he focked, and nothing anybody can do except be there for him if and when he tries to contact us, the system has him by the balz and he's just going to have to ride it out. At least we know where he is. We have tried over the years to help him and he goes in and out of being sober. But this is his deal now and we'll see how it goes. Not meaning to bring this thread down, but all in all I feel allright and I'm pissed that I'm not out there with all of you getting my river groove on, but thats all part of it. You folks have fun and be safe. And watch out for the man, he don't play nice anymore. Time to move onward and upward.
