So anybody heard that AZ is supplying the Christmas tree for Washington DC this year. Beautiful tree nearly an 80ft Blue Spruce :good

Well I have a few customers that do OTR and oversize loads and I volunteered for the task of helping find 2 trucks and 1 40-45 ft enclosed trailer to move this tree(it all ready has a trailer) and about 80 other little trees and about 1000 homeade ornaments from the kids in Arizona. :banghead

And a few drivers to give up 2-4 weeks of their time.

Organizers have all ready ask Knight and Swift who both declined. Probably better off.

They really want to try and keep it involved with AZ Trucking Companies. Fuel is being donated but its going to be Bio-Diesel :rolleyes

More as the quest develops :drama

I'm wondering what ever company gets the job is going to pay the drivers. That and there are 25 cities its going to stop at on the way I heard long slow trip.

It's a slow trip because it's oversize and can only drive daylight hours, also there are curfew hours to deal with and every state has different laws!. Used to pull the missile trailer from Long Beach to Pueblo 110ft trailer, that was a fun trip!.. :good
