Ok, Just wondering do you guy's ever see havasu dying, Kind of like cleveland, You know cleveland use to be a place to call home and be proud to tell folks you were from here, People use to come here from all over to party in the flats with there boats and now it's all gone No boat No bars No dance clubs all gone, use to be 50 or so dance clubs down there, Now just piles of dirt and rock, sad :confused  And I know havi is the hip place to be now but what about 10 years from now.

It will never die. Taking a beating because of the economy, but it is tourist based. Only thing that would kill Havi is the lake drying up. That will never happen.

There's also a plume from the old chainsaw plant, and there was arguing on who would clean it up... but I think the feds stepped in.

The Chomium up at Needles has never reached any of the river water, and has never been found in any drinking water wells.

Yep...don't see it growing much bigger than it is now though.  It's a tourist destination for sure, but the blight conditions around the English Village is having a negative effect, IMO.

Havasu is a service based economy that depends on tourisum, so it's taking a hit with current times, it grew out of control due to easy access to over pumped up equity to many Californians and attracted those wanting to make a buck on the up swing.
now it's paying for that with many empty properties due to over development and creative lending. Property owners in Havasu are bearing the cost of the now unneeded infrastructure, so it's a double whammy for those of us living here (lack of work and higher bills). Those like me that are able to reinvent themselves stand a chance of making it though this depression (yes it's a depression) and Havasu will continue on it's merry way for many years to come, I still belive western Az (BullHead to Blythe) will be developed into the next So.Cal coast line :good

What happens in Havasu get's around in 5 minutes

Well ok then, someday I gonna plant my ass in Havasu and relax :beer  I was just wondering cuz with what has gone down in cleveland is just sad, I heard the rock & roll 25th bash was to be held in cleveland and they took it to NY :angry AGAIN!!!!, I don't know why they even built it here, I wish they would just take it out of here.  Same go's for the Med-mart, they have been playing with that for 2 years now on where to put it here in cleveland and NY is almost done with there building and are going to try and take it, same with TENN. they want it to.
