My friend Annamarie's mom drove a Galaxie when we were in jr high/high school.  In my mind it looks like the one in the pic, but I don't think it was a convertible.  Annamarie was mortified to be seen in it, and whenever her mom took us anywhere she'd make me sit in front and when we got to wherever her mom was taking us, she'd hop out of the car and yell, "Thanks Mrs D!" at the top of her lungs so people would think she was my mom. :rolleyes   As if anyone would ever mistake the bleached blonde nutjob with the thick German accent for my Mom, waaaahaaahaa! :laugh   Not to mention the fact that I had just moved there in 9th grade, everyone else KNEW it was her mom since they'd all known each other since birth.  But she never gave up. :laugh

A buddy of mine bought one of these around 1980'ish for $500. We partied hard in that car all over the place, then he realized he should probably take better care of it and did some resto work on it. This pic is actually a perfect carbon copy of his.
