Well, we don't get out much...don't stray too far from the remote.  :laugh  

So we had some free time..."hey hunnie, let's take in a movie and dinner"... :good

Get to the theater, line is FOREVER to get tickets and we're runnin' a little late.  KIOSK for tickets...kewl... :love   Of course their BROKEN and won't read our plastic.

$14 for a FOCKIN' MOVIE... :jawdrop
Ya gotta be kiddin'.... :rolleyes  :beat   It's 2pm in the afternoon BTW...

Bag of 'corn and a drink....$12.50.... :eek   Forget the Milk Duds for $8 additional....Here, just take my wallet...I'll pretend ya had a GUN... :beat

Got the snacks, the 3D glasses  :confused , pretty good seats, get settled in and the screen lights up....

WTF...FOCKIN' COMMERICALS.... :beat  :flamed  :puke  :guns  :say?  :pissed  :pissed  :finger

They must have played 15 minutes of fockin' commericals... :say? BULLSHIT.... :finger   "Hey, put on your 3D glasses for a special message"....fockin' SPRITE commerical.... :puke

I'm down some $40 to get into the place and you have the gall to show me FOCKIN' COMMERICALS.... :banghead  :guns

Movie was entertaining but we will most likely NEVER go again and wait for the DVD... :good

AMC sucks, btw.... :rotflmao

We go for the senior tickets, and bring our own snacks.  15 minutes of commercials and then previews.  Still a waste of time and money.  A lot of the time we wait for dvd to come out. :good

I see no ploblemo with this, I mean look at the size of the pop and popcorn you get, and the seating is to die for, and all those commercials, well they are just telling you about the up coming movie's at least that what they do here. :jumpie But yes I think the prices are way out of line these days, er sneak in our own drinks and snacks, I don't need a jumbo size soda of a beer bong. :rolleyes

Ha Ha Ha Ha, Gary, what timing!!!

I took the day off yesterday to spend time with my girls...my wife and two daughters and one of my granddaughters and I  went to see Toy Story 3 at the Imax theater.

Hoo boy, you ain't kidding about prices, but I guess I got off easy - all the tickets were $10, adult, child senior, didn't make a difference...so, after tickets and goodies, I was out about $80 for the 5 of us.

Bear in mind that I haven't been to a movie in ages and had to see what the excitement about the Imax 3-D was.....OK, I saw it. Very cool....BUT...

I'll hang on to my cash now - I'd rather buy the DVD and save a ton of money!

Besides, gives me a reason to save up for a 3D TV!  :good

It's a fact of Life:

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

Last 2 times in the theater I went for free. Won tickets to see Law Abiding Citizen before that Julie n Julia. Both flicks before they hit theaters for the public.  :good   :D

Yeah, you see some interesting stuff sometimes!. Oh, and you can pause anytime for a pee call and a  :drink   :D
