First off I would like to say I don't follow Basketball, And I don't care if LBJ stay's or go's. But WOW what a slap in the face the way he did us in last night was just wrong, If you wanted to leave Why didn't you just say you were leave to go to Miami, Did you have to make it a big time Pimetime thing and slap us in the face like that. Now he is hated by everybody here, they were burning his shirts in downtown last night, This is going to hurt cleveland in a very big way. think $$$$$$$ Oh well were use to it here. :rolleyes

You've said it a thousand times yourself that nobody wants to live there. Why is he different. Look at it this way, Miami had to pay him a 100 million to get him to move. :beat

I'm always amazed at how ordinary, everyday folk who like this game of basketball get so riled up. What is it about this game in particular that makes people riot and burn cars...when their team wins! ??  :stupid

To think that they throw so much money at thugs the likes of James who have the society saving ability to to run up and down a gymnasium floor endlessly chasing a rubber ball with the goal of throwing it through a hoop suspended at each end.

And now the owner of the Cavaliers stoops to this -

Amazing. These "Heroes" as he calls them, do absolutely nothing to further the advancement of mankind, yet earn millions and millions of dollars!  :pissed

How can you cherish and idolize a punk who gets paid more in a year than most people will ever dream of earning in a lifetime? More than the annual budget of many schools - to which we trust the development of our children! ?  :stupid

Yeah, I know...wasting my time...old story.  :beat

Ok. I don't watch basketball and I don't care if he stays or go's but the part that ticks me off is the way he did it. I understand he wanted to go so go. But don't slap us on the way out. WOW. Just another black eye for cleveland. LOL. And yes we still have the rock hall of fame still, give it time and that to will go.  MAN oh man is this place falling apart.

Oh, I hear ya man... he didn't have to leave like that.

But it shows everyone that he was just a frontrunning carpetbagger. He had no concern for the fans of Cleveland.
And if things don't work out for him in Miami, he'll probably come knocking on someone else's door.

Someone with a lot of money no doubt.

I'm pretty sure karma will come into play somewhere along the way.

I don't ever recall another professional sports figure make such a big spectacle about leaving like that. He's no Jordan or Magic or Kareem, Bird, Chamberlain, Havlicek, I could go on and on.

Heck, even the way Manny Ramirez left Boston was better than that.  :rolleyes

I'm not a basketball fan either until the playoffs. Just like the drama of the importance and finality of the games then.

Now; on to Mr. James. I gotta agree w/ya on how he did it. To think that people actually give enough of a rat's a$$ (and apparently they must) for "his" people to ask ESPN for an hour special pertaining to where he chooses to make more money than anyhbody who calls PLAYING a "kids' game"  their job (I'm a firm believer that ALL ENTERTAINERS of any kind are grossly overpaid as compared to law enforcement, the medical field, educators; you get the picture) was and still is arrogant and self-centered.

BUT; then I see where he chose to hold his "news conference" and the fact that all proceeds garnered from the advertisers who purchased "spots" during that hour were to be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the venue of choice, I gotta say "hmmmm". I still believe him an arrogant a$$ but $2,500,00 (that's two million, five hundred thousand dollars) will hopefully go a long ways in helping that orginization.

I also would like to see him, Bosh (sp.?), and Wade investigated for collusion. Afterall; when the owners get  together to "plot" the outcome of dealings in league affairs are charged w/collusion, I believe players should be too. I feel it gave Miami an unfair advantage and lessened the chances for the other teams (Cavaliers, Knicks, Bulls, Nets, Clippers) involved in the "LeBron James Show" to be able to make a viable offer at signing him. But such is the new way in "organized crime" I guess.
