When was the last time you used a phone book ?  :stupid

And I mean besides using it to prop open a door or as a booster seat for a kid?

They are pretty much obsolete.

They are a waste of resources. Both the materials, paper & ink, they are made of and the resultant waste by- products.

The fuel it takes to deliver them and ultimately transport them to the dump and the space they take up in the landfills.

All a waste.

I think the only place they should be delivered to is to pay phone booths.

And when you find one of those, let me know.  :rolleyes

We tried to stop ours from being delivered, but its all about advertising these days...they go right from the front porch into the recycle bin....  :confused   :banghead

I think this shows how far behind the times we are here in Northeast ohio. We still have a lot of them Phone Booths around. I know of 3 with in a 1/2 mile of each other.

You obviously don't have a home in Havasu. For a small as that town is there has got to be at least 6 different phone books they deliver annually.:rolleyes

A good use for a phone book is a bilge sponge, soaks up oils and fluids great. :good

On a side note: My exwife(~25 yrs ago) burned up 2 clutches in her Datsun 510 wagon while attempting to make a few bucks after we split up delivering Phone books.

Yeah and I had to replace the clutch and turn the flywheel twice.
I dug that ol' wagon......I'd  installed a Japanese SS motor in it and mated that to a Z 5speed tranny. Sleeper that kicked butt and surprised many unsuspecting fools.
Then the dumbass hag rear ended someone slightly while intoxicated and fried the motor(fanclutch wedged).

They are now passing out so many to keep their circulation count up.  But look at one of your current ones with the same phone book next to it and see the difference in the thickness.  They must have lost 1/3 of their advertisers.

I'm betting they lost more than that. For buying one ad in Yellow Book, they offer me 4 or 5 other spots for the same price to stay with them. :eek
