Was voting yesterday and when I was leaving I bumped into this ladies car in the parking lot as we where leaving. She did the old double stop at the stop sign deal and I was going like 2 mph with my foot on the brake. scuffed up her bumper and cracked a taillight :break

Of course the Suburban was unhurt. I get out and tell her I'm sorry I was following too close. Did all the exhange information dealio. She takes off, alls good. My fault totally but gawd dam :pissed

, people if your going to leave a stop then f'n leave. :finger

Allstate said no worries first accident you had in over 12 years no hile in my rates. And the wreck 12 years ago was in a parking lot too.

Same thing happened to me years ago. We exchanged info yada yada. The next thing I know is I get a letter from the DMV saying they are suspending my drivers license for a hit and run accident that I failed to report. :confused

I gave the info I had gathered from the other driver to them, and asked them if it was a hit and run, how would I have her drivers license number, insurance info etc?? :confused

The DMV said....never mind!! :rolleyes

I freakin watch for that all the time......

It's like they are testing the lane to see if its OK....

I hate to say this but from my observations it is primarily da wimmin that be doing this....... (Ducking for CaliKat)

I make it a habit to stay stopped until I go....Is that too much to ask??

Glad you have accident forgivness.... I have been w/ Allstate forever, my deductible has gradually gone to zero, and no accidents or claims in 24 years.....

Just wait, now that I have said this I'll get banged tomorrow and it will be my fault! Â :laugh

No need to duck, Kelly....I'd most likely agree with you on that point. Â I'm also a firm believer that 99% of all women shouldn't be allowed to drive anything larger than an Exploder. Â I've had way too many close calls with women driving Suburbans, Tahoes, Subdivisions and the like. Â They're a menace. :banghead

Men have their own issues when it comes to driving...equally as stupid and frustrating. :bebe

I'm a very good driver, but I know that's not the norm. Â Heck, there aren't too many of my friends I'm comfortable driving with...they scare me! Â I've been involved in 2 accidents, neither was my fault. Â The first one was in college, came around a blind curve on campus to find an asshat in a camaro backing around the blind curve onto my lane of the divided road. Â My choice was to hit him or roll down an embankment. Â My 7 month old car got smooshed, his camaro got nothing. Â The second one was on an offramp of I-5, a construction truck locked up going roughly 70mph. Â My car was plowed, but my actions kept me from hitting the rollerskate car in front of me with a baby in the backseat. Â That would not have been pretty. Â The CHP officer told me there had been several accidents in that exact spot in just the last week. Â It was a short, steep ramp, and you couldn't see how short until you crested the top. Â By then it was too late if there were any cars stopped at the light. Â They've since redesigned it...wonder why? :rolleyes

I had one accident in my life and it was similar but different.
I'd come to a red light with two cars ahead of me, all of us turning right. The first car leaves. After a few moments the next car leaves, now my turn. I look left and its clear, I take off and turn my head to find the lady that was originally first in line pulling off the right apron back into my path....WTF?!?!?! :beat

My RF headlamp tags her LR corner. I'm in the lane and she's straddling the right side line. Crunch, hood buckles up, I was on the throttle. FRAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!! :guns

Worst part was it was a customers 7 series I was driving. :banghead

I was nervous to call them, but when I did they were most concerned that I was ok.........They already had the loaner, I'd just swapped with them 25minutes prior

They were my best and favorite customers, almost like family really. In fact, they bought one last car from me just hours before I sold the dealership.

I had an old 3/4 ton Ford way back when. Cattle pusher on the front....it was ugly.
Had a great time seeing the look on peoples faces when they would pull out in front of me and I would take it up to ramming speed........ :eek
