Hey guy's I know some of you go on Riverdave's site, But I have a virus on my puter and all my firewall's are up and working, and the wife has been trying to fix it but can't, she said it looks like it came from that site cuz I went and used her puter and messed it up to, and now I'm on my laptop so I do not want to go to riverdave does anybody else have this problem is is safe to go there, I can go into mt email's and picture's and my music but when I go to get the net thats where it all start's. :banghead

Never got anything from RD's before, course I don't hardly go there anyhow!.. If you're running XP you might try a "System Restore" that usually get's rid of the garbage!...

Ditto WD's satement. I've never even gotten a "warning" from my virus protection (Webroot) about a threat from RDP; and I get quite a few "blockages" when surfin'. Not just those "other" sites either. May not be from RDP's but could be from a link. Alot of linkin' to YouTube over there right now and YouTube is notorious for viruses. IDK....

That's the smart thing to do, if I get one of them links sometimes I'll go on my "junker" and open the link to see what it is, every once in a while some pretty interesting $hit comes up!.. :eek  :laugh

Oh Wow forgot about this thread, ok so don't know what's up yet no time so as long as nobodys has a problem with RD then I can go back with my laptop, on crackberry right now. Youtube, I go on it all day long and so do the wife and kids with about 8 different puters and never a problem.

What do you guys reccommend for one of those viruses that tells you you have a virus and then offers to clean it up....for a price?

A friend of mine had that happen and it wont let them remove or quit, and it keeps popping up every 10 minutes or so????

Combed through the registry and killed it there.....Rearranged a whole bunch of settings though...  :pissed

I know Performance Boats has been hit with malware a ton lately, and someone on RDP recently said the warning has popped up on them when logging onto RDP....................

Something strange is going on at RDs.  I haven't been able to post there for a few days now, and today when I log on I can't open any forums...........I think it is in the website, don't believe I have any virus, my spyware and virus detection hasn't set off any alarms yet.
Seems like the virus went from Performance Boats to River Daves, hope it doesn't hit here next.
