Ebay isn't coming through for me like I had hoped, so the lightbulb went on in my brain and told me to ask here!

I'm searching for old copies of the Ford Times magazine.  Now I know you guys NEVER throw anything away  :D  and since they're car related, maybe someone has some?  Or knows someone who has some?  Or knows some place that might have them?  My favorite artist did a number of illustrations for the stories in the magazines, and now that he's becoming more popular, those issues are as scarce as hens teeth.  I thought I'd scored last night on ebay when I found a coveted issue that no one had bid on, only to get an email today saying "we're sorry, we can't find that issue in our inventory." :eek  :pissed  :banghead  :cry     If anyone has any leads, please let me know. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here.  I actually know which issues I'm looking for, thanks to a spreadsheet provided by a fellow fan. :good

Ahhh, but those are only the covers...some issues just have articles and illustrations, but not his work on the cover.  Just to make it that much more difficult. :banghead

Thanks Kel!  I was going to put up the pics and issues later...but you saved me a step! :good  :)

The raccoons in the chimney on the bottom row of the block of covers is the one i was robbed of...I'm still devastated. :cry

But I did score the last pic you posted, the squirrels and birds. :good   At least I think I did, we'll see when the mailman brings it.  Nice guy I bought it from though, he's also a collector and is going to try to help me find the others.

Nope never heard of them. I to have lots of Hotboat mags. :flamed  :D  And hotrod, custom rodder, truck'n, pontiac, car craft, sport truck, so on as so on, but no ford times.

Apparently these magazines go way back...I guess they were 5x7 mags, about 64 pages, with articles about various Fords, but also local interest stories, recipes etc. The dealers sent them to customers.  The issues I'm looking for range from 1949 to 1982 but the bulk of Charley's artwork was in the 50's and 60's issues.  The magazine was published monthly from 1908 to 1996...not a bad run.

The issues with Charley's art are coveted because in many cases it's the only place where those pics can be found, unlike his other pics that have been reproduced in other forms (cards, posters etc).  As he keeps becoming more and more popular, these issues will get harder and harder to find...and more expensive.
