So another "what are the chances" episode happened to me.
As you know I have a buggy project in the works and had been searching for just the right car/chassis to start with. A few weeks back I thought I'd found it, an old beater 74 bug. I was all in with this car, it was perfect for what I have in mind....then checked with DMV to see what fees are due. My heart dropped, the fees were as much as the price for the car, and I also found out the registration renewal date was the same as my birthdate. No wonder this car kept calling for me. Alas, the cost was to much to absorb and my search continued. Not long after I found another car that would be perfect for the task at hand, but again the registration was out and well overdue. As I was checking the DMV site for the fees my thoughts were simply that this car wouldn't have the same significance to me. My eyes couldn't believe what I was seeing, the renewal date on this car is Jan's birthday. So damn it all, it had just as much significance and the cost was insignificant. That's the car I bought.
Told Jan now I will be riding her all over town, in public view.
Ain't life Grand? Treat it that way. The Love of my Life, Jan.
