Took this photo tonight myself with my new Olympus c-5050 5 megapixel digital camera. Wanted to see just how sensitive it is in complete darkness. Also working with it so I can capture better lightning images. Check out this image. 16 sec exposure with F-stop at 1.8. Couldn't believe you could actaully see the stars in this photos. Wow what a awesome digital camera. Olympus kicks ass! Taken from my front yard, Lake Havasu City, AZ Sept 11th 11pm :good

I couldn't believe the star were visible myself! I swear this camera can see just like your eyes do in the dark. It's really amazing. But it did take 16 seconds of the shutter being open to expose the CCD in the dark. Simply amazing!

How did you get the F-stsop number so low? Do you have a special lense?

the range on the f-stop for my new camera is F1.8 to F8.0. Nope no special lens. The c-5050 I have is all stock with no accessories. I'm telling you this is a kick ass camera! But wasn't cheap! :good

It's not cheap. I got my through Dell.com for $629 and also go the 512MB flash card for $98. With that 512 card, set a low res with 1028x768 you can get over 2,400 photos on that single tiny card!!!

I have the Canon 10D, it take pics up to 6.3 mega-pixels. It uses CF media and you can get different lenses. The lenses are interchangeable with most Canon ES/EF camera's. I have a Rebel 2000 35mm that I interchange them with.

I bought a C-5050 last Feb.  Got it and the Olympus underwater diving case for a diving trip to the great Barrier reef.  Camera and case only about $900.  Just the case for other cameras started at about $900.  Need to get a better flash for use when diving but other than that I am happy with it.  This is my first digital and it takes a bit of learning to get it right.
