My 1st job was at McDonalds, I made a whooping $1.10 per hour minus .10 per hour for food.
Also you had to be home when the street lights came on
You drank right from the garden hose
Good old days

Played all over the nieghborhood until the Dads would "whistle"
Had a bicycle paper route
Norm Meagers (sp) in Covina was the "fashion" place to shop
Went to the dairy, egg ranch, meat market, and produce stand
Thrifty Drug had a sit-down food-service counter

Wolfman Jack on the radio Saturday nights
Riding a bicycle, skateboard, push scooter,ect. with out helmet and pads.
Not having as many traffic lights
Rocket shots from Vandenburg or White sands with out people freaking out. :laugh

Riding my Sting Ray Bicycle from West Covina to Huntington Beach, to Knotts Berry Farm, before they put up a fence around the park and started charging you to get in. We rode those bike every where to Legg Lake to go fishing, Azusa canyon to East Fork going was tough but coming back was a blast, there was a monkey farm in Baldwin Park we use to go to. Oh and .25 and .35 to go to the show for all day :jumpie

We had an outlaw radio station that came on at night XROK 80. It was out of Mexico I'm pretty sure. When all the cars just had AM radios it made the nights a little funner. :love

Watched a show about Costco and how it works. Pretty amazing that they have a standard markup of 15% and make millions but they sell billions, so it works. :comp

How about Auto Shack before they were sued by Radio Shack....and became Auto Zone.....

Made many a late night trip to the 24 hour Auto Shack in Phx back in the day (or night as it were....) ...... :good
