Wonder how how far open was the hatch, and did he actually listen to see if the fans were actually running??? or did he just assume they were on like most people do??.. Engine hatches are death traps in my book, just a matter of time..

Oh So True!!! I have been opening mine up and turning the blower on as well just to be sure since I did all that fuel pump and service last year. Even before I would turn the blower on in the get ready area and again just before going into the water. I ususaly forget to turn it off untill across or down the lake somewhere. I look at it as horse power via air induction.

One way of looking at it. Sure don't hurt anything though, most people don't even listen to see if they even work..
