I saw the boat earlier in the day and it wasn't going to fast and he always had 2-3 people in it. I left around 12:30. I was thinking there might be an accident today, but I didn't think it would be the jet boat. Early in the morning, there where 2 flats that looked to be on a collision path. The people on the beach around me where all watching thinking neither boat saw each other. But one passed right behind the other. It was a fun time and there where some really quick boats out there.
I met Smalls from the Hot Boat boards, and Squeezing Spectra and they both seemed pretty cool. It was a fun day, but not worth 10 bucks to watch.

I am a flatbottom lover but I have to agree... it wasn't worth the $10 bucks. I guess I was expecting NJBA ( I know it wasn't sanctioned racing)!! My fault! I think we left before the accident. The only jet I noticed out there was an open bow, was that the one? I did think the 117 boat (I think Small Block Mike?) was going to crash! That old man is crazy! Had me gasping everytime he hit a roller (and there were a lot of them!. I do have to say, it made me miss the races, and it made my husband want to keep the flatbottom
