Talked to a guy that I thought was the head honcho of Extreme Boats Magazine, and we came to an agreement where by which I would be taking over there forums for them etc...

So I get access to the site, start changing it all around to suit my tastes, and later on that night all of a sudden the admin status in revoked.. WTF?? Next thing I know all the forums are shut down and there's a message saying something about a hacker??

I can't get ahold of the guy I talked too, becuase the only place I have his # was in my PM's on the website (that's now shut down) so I call one of the #'s they have on the website. This guy tells me more or less that he's the HNIC, and nobodies seen or heard from the guy that I talked to in 3 weeks. :eek

and actually wants me to contact him again and have him call them.. ???? WTF x 2.. I explain to him that I ain't trying to get mixed up in whatever the hell they have going on over there, but if he still wants me to run their forums for them that I will etc... and have an in depth conversation about it. He responds with "I'll get back to you tomorrow" and that's the last I ever heard of it. (2 days ago)

Now I'm bitter becuase they got me all revv'd up on the idea of running some forums again and then yanked the rug out from under me. :angry

So now I gotta go put together my own damn website to run my own forums..

I'd like to do something on a little "grander" scale overall though in terms of my own dealio. Every website seems to have their "niche."

I view this place as a kinda tight knit group that goes to the river and party's with each other locally etc...

Hotboat is kind of a free for all

Barney's has the best booby shots around..

etc.. etc..

I'm kinda going for the Hoboat action, but a little more "edgy" and not so generalized if ya know what I mean.

HACKER ARRESTED. Â Dave Johnson of Newport Beach, a known internet post whore and suspected River gang member, Â has been charged with HACKING a popular boating website for the purpose of personal benefit and a selfish takeover.

Police said today they arrested other members of the community referred to by Johnson as his personal "OP6 Crew". Â Currently in custody are Warlock25's, HBJet & MissHBJet, Cyclone & Jenna, Nord & Ronnie (50/50) .

Police are also asking for any tips or information on the code
"OP6" used by these river junkies as it could be valuable information in the case.

Police also confiscated three high-caliber water cannons at the residence's of the accused. They believe these weapons were used to shoot rival gang members known in the area as 555Edge and Phat Kat in the Lake Havasu Channel during the summer months.

Newport Beach Police Lieutenant Fullah Shit'e says the motive is unclear but can be connected to a long-simmering gang war and online takeovers.

Police say the Crew have admitted their involvement but refuse to testify against Johnson.

They investigation is ongoing.
