I was out at my Parker river house over this pasted weekend and decided to go out looking for firewood on Sat. my brother my friend and his g/f drove about 1 mile from the river house to a old abondon building that used to be some kinda concrete company. Angela, (the g/f of my buddies walked into this old entrance just to look around I guess. She was about 200ft from us at the time. She started yelling SNAKE SNAKE. We all ran over to where she was a there was about a 5ft rattle snake all ready to strike just about 4 ft from where she had walked in. I ran over there and this rattle snake was really going at it. I mean it was rattling big time. Just wanted to share this story with the forum. It was really something else. Never expected to see a rattle snake out this time of year!

My park in Earp had 12 snakes killed last year, they're at 8 this year.  We had a one foot baby outside our deck in Sept.  This is actually the time they're around.    Will probably find one this weekend, just part of the reality that is the desert.  We got lucky, we found a King snake is residing under our deck, keeps the rattlers away or kills 'em.

Oh, and before anyone crys foul for killing, these were all around the homes, we don't bother the ones traveling the roads/and or beach/lol.

HOLY SHIT.  I could have lived without seeing that.  I live in snake country and have at least 2 or 3 every year on the property, I hate them.   I lived in Ariz for almost 20 years and NEVER saw one snake the whole time tho.....

not quite sure why that blimp was there. It was parked their at the Parker airport Thursday and Friday and left Saturday morning and then I never saw it again.
