I had to reload Windows XP along with a bunch of my programs. The computer is just too old and weak to handle all the new software though. My first computer lasted 4 years and this one is 4 years old now so I'm due for a new one. :angry

That's why I put off buying one for so long. I knew it would be obsolete and worthless the next day. :laugh

There comes a point, though, when you HAVE to buy out of necessity. For me, that is any day now, but I'll try to hold off until my tax refund comes.

I'm happy with my HP 854n, running XP media center, P4 2.53 GHz, 512 Ram, 120GB drive. Things pretty sweet its got a Tivo type stuff to record tv. DVD burner, blah blah blah. Bought it off the HP website it was a reconditioned unit for about half the money :good

Yes, it's time to upgrade, but I'm not ready financially. I have resolved yesterdays problems in the meantime. I'll be building something new during the new year.
