Went down to Home depot to look for a tree and holy shit there must have been 100 frickin people there, all grabing and pushing. Said to myself F**k this, i will get up early when all of these nut case are sleeping and get my tree...

I agree. I dont even think we are getting a tree this year. Dont have time to get it. I dont see whats the point of having a tree that shits on its way in, shits on its way out, you have to feed it, decorate it, & undecorate it.

Its like having another kid for a month!

Can you tell I am not too jazzed about the holidays?  :stupid  :D

We pulled our Artificial tree out this year.  Haven't used it in a few years but $$ is tighter this year so we figured we wouldn't buy one.  The decorating of it is easy....when ya have 5 kids :D   The hardest part of it is the fighting that goes on between the kids :rolleyes  :beat    I decorated the outside of the house for the first time ever also.  Lit the lights the Sunday after Thanksgiving and now half of them are already blown out :stupid  :guns

Just passing by,

I've worked off duty at a Xmas tree lot in downtown LA for the last few years.  They bring in trees in trucks packed in snow and then auction off the Douglas firs.  Pretty funny and the trees that no one bids on go for 12-20 bucks.  Very good trees.  Anyways, it's pretty cool to watch the kids get excited about the whole holiday thing and see the familie's do their little traditional things.  I know Home Depot is a lot cheaper but it's cool some folks still enjoy the whole tree thing.

As for me?  No tree, no decorations, working Xmas eve,Xmas day, New Year Eve and New year day.  Bad guys don't take a break, why should I?  

And the holiday pay is nice for fixing the damn boat/LOL!

We put a small artificial up just to stay in the spirit, We set it on a antic dresser by the fireplace, that way we don't have to move a bunch of furniture  :D

wife bought an artificial tree - ( we just bought five acres with tree's up the yeng yang - but would she let me cut them - noooo )  fricken yuppie lol -  my idea is  a bent prop shaft 75 inches tall  with my holiday  prop angel on top decorated in green spark plugh wires and ski rope  :good   so far out a grand for x mas ----  $$$$$$  that was my  one of y new carbs lol  :rolleyes

I bought our tree Thankgiving weekend at Home Depot...it's now dead :stupid  ...and yes I got the "fresh cut" and kept it watered :stupid
