Thought I'd share this flyer that I got at CFW On Wednesday when I was there.  Races are open to ALL boats and PWC.  Sounds like it might be fun :jumpie

Sounds bitchin! :good Is this a sanctioned event with clocks?, how about rescue, insurance, blah, blah, blah!..Or is it just everyone watches out for one another type deal??.. :good

Art, I talked to the promoter last summer when they were trying to get it setup to run a race or two last summer.  They didn't have enough time to get it setup though at that time.  He told me that it would be a full blown race with rescue, insurance, ligts, timing etc.  The insurance was outrageous but required because the lake is owned by the water district, but the races were approved by the water district.  There was talk about setting buoys but I don't know what ever became of it.  I was surprised to get this flyer as it was a few days ago and I haven't found out much more about it....yet.

Well, I'm gonna try and contact the promoter tomorrow to see about maybe running some roundy rounds.  That would be so cool! :jumpie   I know that they (BAM Motorsports) do run PWC races out there with a bunch of buoys...... Just make it a little bit longer of a course and take away a few buoys and we'd be set :eek  :D

Ya know speed is always a factor when it comes to insurance and all that stuff but if you kept the course down to say a 1/2 mile single pin turn, that would keep the speeds down and it still would be a blast and the liabilities wouldn't be such an issue!..
