My Dad was telling me about that. When they set up the altitude of the airfield for the trick they put in it was 200 feet lower than it actually was :eek The pilot got out right before impact :)

How many times have we heard that after an accident?  That's what they said about the B-29 crash at Lake Mead.  They said the altimeter was adjusted for China Lake in CA where the flight originated from and Lake Mead is 300 feet higher? :eek  I know that was a long time ago, but I'm amazed that it could still happen.

Man I would Sh** my pants if I was that Pilot  :puke , I hope he/she was ok. You can tell at the apex he/she was in trouble... The Airframe totally "snapped" at the top. by the time the wings recovered and prolvided some life... Too Late.

Does this vid have Sound?

Great Vid though

NEWMAN

Man I watched it again, and I had one more thought... That took some serous skill to bail out. Maybe its a different perspective in the seat ( I know it is) but man there has to be a battle within in yourself to say "hold on hold on hold on"!!! Negative Bail Bail Bail!!!

Very lucky Pilot.

Glad the pilot made it out. I agree with Newmanator, the pilot must have sh*t in his pants  :eek
