morning to all. it's been raining off and on here in Havasu all weekend. Not much rain, I only recorded about 0.45 inches since early Sat morning. Damn it where is the lightning? :angry

But I do finally have something to do today.  As long as I can make it down to the bottom shelves out here in the garage, I'm gonna spend the day inventorying and boxing up and labeling all this computer stuff I have laying around :good   Then from there????? Might just as well get rid of it.  I wonder if my employer (until 3/3/04 :D ) knows that I still have a laptop of theirs??? :eek  :D  :good

I'm even seriously considering getting ris of ALL of my IT books and training manuals......and I've got a TON of them too.  How about a complete W2k MCSE Course direct from Microsoft with a W2k pro and W2k server os's disk in EACH book (9 books total).  They better have included those.....the books costed me about $9k!

Just from where I'm sitting right now, witout turning my head, I see 4 Network Cards, 3 MBDS, 3.5 Floppy drives, 5 250w Power supplies, 2 processors, 6 sticks of RAM,..... and more.  That's without turning my head to look at the stuff on the shelf behind me!  Oh yeah, got a box of about 50 brand new PS2 mice sitting down at my feet :eek

Nah, I haven't looked at them since I got done with school and got MCSE certified.  The ONLY book I would possibly use in the future would be the Active Directory book because I haven't applied that service in a while.  On the other hand, I am considering getting totally out of the IT field and going into something else.  I have a few ideas in mind :D

I have always wanted to own a Towing/Auto Dismantleing business :good   I'd be like a kid in a candy shop :laugh  and I am also looking into becoming a PI.  There is a very good Private Investigator school about 80 miles from me and I was figuring with all the Homeland  Security stuff and all the Computer Fraud and security stuff going on, it may be a good field to get into in the future.  Not to mention the standard employee background checks, skip tracing, auto title research, process server, etc.

Naturally, this is all dependent on what happens with my injury and If I ever get to go back to my job(?) or not
