I thought that quote was worth sharing. Gives us something to think about.  :)

I watched it also.... twice. :D Fairly well done, but I thought they got a little cartoonish with some of the historical figures (Patton and Montgomery).  I like how they portrayed DeGaule though, focking French were the same back then.   :ass

I'm going to try and get it on DVD if I can.

DeGaulle was an ass as General and and even bigger ass as president.  :ass

Cartoonish characters aside, I thought Tom Selleck did a masterful performance as Eisenhower making extremely painful and difficult decisions.  :good

I'll bet A&E will offer the DVD very soon.  :)

Tom Selleck is one of the people in Hollywood that I would like to sit down and have a beer with.  He did an outstanding job as Ike, I hope he gets some recognition for it.   :good

I've always enjoyed his work regardless of whatever roles he's played.

He's a very patriotic man and a gentleman to boot.

I remember when Rosie O' Fat had him as a guest on her daytime talk show to promote his latest movie and she just tore into him for being a spokesman for the NRA. In spite of being caught off guard, he handled himself quite well during her anti-handgun rant.  :good

Shortly after that broadcast, it was leaked out Ms. O' Donnell's children's 2 bodyguards packed concealed handguns.  :eek

I've despised that hippo crate ever since.  :angry
