Thanks Sleek, and an RV is soooo much cheaper than say a Gulfstream 4, ever try to find a tow hitch for a G4?  :D Thanks i am sure this thing will get alot of use, we're very happy to have purchased a good used vehicle, everything works(So far, it is a motorhome) and we are all happy woth it looking forward to the races at the speedway and have my own house there instead of commuting back and forth, even if it is just 5 miles its the whole idea .

I'm thinking if you had a G4, you could just keep the boat at the river house.  :D

I started renting a motor home for the spring drag races in Vegas a couple years ago.   :good It's nice to be able to have someplace to go and kick back, drink an inexpensive beer, and relax throughout the day.  And you don't have to worry about fighting traffic after everything is over.

I would guess your staying in the "El Monte RV Coral".  It costs us $75 for the week.  They allow on car with an RV pass, but I'm pretty sure you can buy additional car passes.  For the drag races they don't pack the rigs in to tight, you have enough room to let out the awning.  The track keeps lights (really bright ones) going all night, so if that bothers you or someone staying with you, plan ahead.  The camping spots are pretty level, but you'll use your jacks for sure.  The spots aren't paved, but it's that hard pan desert soil, just as good.  I'd get a fake grass rug (the one's that are about 10'x15' or so) and spread it out, keeps some of the stuff from getting dragged into the rig.

It's just dry camping as well, but there is a honey pumper that comes around a couple times a day, it is expensive though.  The truckstop up by I15 has free RV dumps.  I hear they have showers at the Nascar events.  The people with the showers were there for the drags, but didn't do much business.  We're there for 5 days during the drags, but we take showers at my moms house, and have never ran into a holding tank or fresh water problem (and that's with at least 6 people).

Pretty much anything goes, within reason.  We get pretty lit up in the evenings, but no one has said anything to us yet.  With all the generators running and stuff going on at the track, you usually can't be to loud.  Lot's of trash can around, so you don't have to worry about storing trash.  They also have a bunch of portable biffy's, so that helps the holding tank situation a little (at least for the guys).  They won't allow you to take a beer or food in from the RV's, but a little discretion goes a long way... wink wink.

Wal-Mart is just down the road a little ways (just past Craig and Vegas Blvd), so if you need anything, you can just run down there.

You'll have a blast.  LVMS is a great place to spend the weekend.

I just looked at the my schedule, and I'll be up there that weekend.  I wasn't planning on going to the races, but I might come out and have one or too many beers sometime over the weekend.   :beer

It's Actually a Pace Arrow By Fleetwood,35 feet, The Southwind was a little out of our range, plus i don't want to spend too much since the girls are still young, 10,12 and 15. But the more i look at that G4 pic , the more i am finding reasons to justify a part share in one, but then i'd be divorced and living in a motorhome... but i can still dream at 35,000 feet right?? Thanks and sleek if your up and out that way come on over , i have friends that work at Bud and i get free beer, so there should be enough. Mike VG

They are a little harder to park at the speedway, folks complain about the noise and the jet blast never makes any friends, and you thought RV generator noise was bad you should hear the APU!!!

How could I tow the boat with that thing?Well I guess if I could afford it someone else could get the boat where it needed to be. ;)

You can tow a boat, but remember to use a tow cover, not only will you get jet exhaust soot on there, but the heat from the engines will ruin any gel coat!!! Oh and have Prist or some kind of fuel additive to keep the fuel from icing over on those long flights, very embarrassing tring to start and the darn fuel is steaming from being so cold...... !!!

Seeing this pic reminds me of the web ad I saw about a companmy that takes retired 727 and such, then turns them into homes on a rotating pedestal...corny and cool at the same time

I guess living in a refurbished 727 thats basically a windvane for the neighbors is kinda kool, and as far as the getting robbed thingy well thats being taken care of, i'll pm you with more details, lets just say i've called Gulfstream and asked what the price of a green a/c is , they're gonna get back to me, uh huh yea right. But there are some things in the works, but i'll tell ya this RV really helps me get over the blues factor over the other one though, Thanks for the compliments, i might just have to come and stay at San Onofre or Carlsbad State Beaches, maybe you can come down with the new 7 series and watch my wife drool, it's a real kick in the pants whooo hoo.Yawn...... Thanks Ziggy hows everything how are you doing? Looks like you need to get out hmmm , i'm not a doctor, nor do i play one on TV but if you have acess to an RV you must get on it and go have fun. !!! Bottom line is you're happy---and by the looks of it you are there. My neighbor just drove home a used 33' last night, then got a nice welcome Parking ticket this morning(sweeper day :( )
Yeah, we are going to the Miller B'day bash in our rig, mama's gotta have the toidy handy :laugh  :D
This is our rig, we usually off road in the Glamis dunes with it so its either this one that is paid for or a 5th wheeler toybox w/payments......I like the no payments thing right now but one day.......

Sleek Owes Me a ride right Sleek??

I'll see if i can get out that way if it's the weekend of the ozz fest i have to pass, i promised to donate some blood and take the RV to the concert, i have some friends that still work there and said i'd have a place for them to hang, but my heart will be at the river and the lakes as always.. Mike VG and thank you to everyone for the compliments, the other thing had me absolutely wanting to rip someone a new one, but alas we found this rig and all is well for now, but after KNBC's consumer reporter gets done with them they will be asking us what we want and what color....
