Took a little family outing up to Sand Hollow in Utah today. The weather was perfect, :good the water almost like glass, :cool the adult beverages nice and cold, :drink and homemade carne`asada tacos for supper! :jumpie

I snapped a few shots of my little baby boy while Debbie and I sat on the shore. I thought I'd have to break out the white grease in order for him to fit behind the wheel. :rotflmao

Oh boy, thought for sure you'd have a Ford powered engine in that boat. I've been a Chevrolet guy all my life but when it comes to buying a new truck very soon it will be a lifted 4 door Ford Super-Duty. Just don't like the new Chevy trucks at all.

Ford Country in Henderson, NV. has some really awesome new lifted F-250s and 350s. They're loaded with all the goodies, but well outside my budget at $50,000. :cry

Nope, the jet is a plain old Panther.

There's an outfit in Westminster, CA called ADM Boatworks that makes a diverter just for a Panther and I've heard nothing but good things about it and them, so I might get one this winter. :cool

We can always race. :good

I just sank 1700+ last year into my Panther it was original from 1979 with a ton of wear. Jim at Performance Jet rebuilt it and did some mods that were supposed to increase thrust by about 15%. Now if I could just keep it runnin :break  I could see if it works any better.

I was lookin at those pics of yer boat and it has a nice set to it.

Got anymore info on the diverter, I haven't heard alot of good about the one Panther offers. Not enough range in the change of angles, more down than up I hear.

Apparently Kevin, the only folks who make a diverter for Panthers is Panther Marine themselves up in Oregon and A.D.M. Boatworks.

I've heard the same thing about the diverter that Panther Marine makes, very little up and lots of down.

I've emailed A.D.M. Boatworks and the one they make is supposed to be the trick unit with an all new exit housing.

I was quoted $1850.00 parts and labor for their Jetavator.

Or, if I just want them to go through and rebuild the stock unit is $700.00 parts and labor.

Here's A.D.Ms. website http://www.admboatworks.com/index2.htm

and this is their email response.

Good morning,  The average cost of a normal rebuild is about $250.00 parts and $350.00 labor, this includes the r&r of the pump from the boat. The ADM/Place Diverter with manual control is $1850.00. This includes the ADM  remote s/s steering tube & a small rudder. We hope this is what you're looking for to better performance of
your boat. The hydraulic kit with a toggle switch adds another  $150.00 Thanks for asking about the ADM Place Diverter .  DON

Suckin and blowin :laugh

Ya know Bob thats seems like a fair price on the rebuild. I remember this diverter ADM sells the machine the Panther to accept a Berkley style diverter(or I think thats what they do).

I had to replace the suction housing on mine it was almost worn all the way through in a few spots. But hell its had 23 years of abuse and never been touched and still worked pretty good. I think that was around 5-600 bucks then the extra flow work he did added some more and I was oout the door with freight for right at $1800 :cry  boy then lets add this ADM dealio and I'd be at $3700 just in the pump and the boat still don't run :guns Gawd what a money pit :puke  :laugh
