Quote (Scuba Steve @ Aug. 25 2004,3:43 pm) | Gofast, I just hate the fact that I have to go to 2 different places to get the boat & trailer registerd. Do you happen to know what the one time fee is? $15 every 5 years in CA sounds like a deal that cant be beat. Â |
You can do the boat online that's a piece of cake. The trailer you have to take it to em for inspection it's no big deal, take it with you when you take your tow vehicle..Yep $15 every 5 years is hard to beat, it cost me $75 for each of mine for permanent tags. The reason for that is so they can make money, what are the odds that you will keep it long enough to make the $75 pay for itself because if you sell it the next guy has to pay it again!...But here's the pisser, if you keep it registered in CA you better put it in someone else's name because if you get stopped and your vehicle is registered here and not the trailer the fine is huge!..Welcome to fkn AZ!.

Quote (Sleek-Jet @ Aug. 25 2004,4:46 pm) | I don't know about Phoenix, but the Game and Fish dept here in Tucson was no hassle at all to deal with (and I didn't have a HIN on the Campbell). Â If you have a HIN, they'll just issue you an AZ registration and be done with it. |
They are the easiest to deal with, when I was in Ca I registered my boat in Az and all I did was call them up and they sent me the forms and all I did was fill it it in and send them the $$$$ and they sent me my numbers, done deal!..
