A deserted Lake isn't boring if ya have the speed to make it exciting Crowded waterways end up with too many A-Holes on them. Not everyone mind you, but it only takes 1 person to ruin an otherwise great outing. I prefer fewer boats around for the safety aspect of boating, and for the children that play in the water. That, coupled with fewer/no PWC's, make it an EXCITING weekend to me. Of course, it's always nice to meet new people at the Lakes/Rivers, as long as there isn't too many

Quote (Mandelon @ Sep. 09 2004,9:45 pm) | Its just got to be the odds. Â You get that many people together and accidents will happen. Â Its sad, but its gonna happen.
Every morning people get killed on the freeway, but that is not stopping anyone from driving. Or moving to the city. Â |
Same crossed my mind too....The odds of accidents certainly increase when more boats are squeezed onto the lake. And then you combine that with a narrower river portion the odds increase even more so. I drive my boat on the river much like I drive on a two lane highway...expecting the other guy to cross my path, so I'm on high alert and ready for evasive action....always. Boat smart you all, and stay within your logical thinking limits.
Ain't life Grand? Treat it that way. The Love of my Life, Jan.
