Looks like AZ's going to get a little left overs from a Pacific hurricane named Javier. Possibly a rain event, nothing like what the people in the Southeast have put up with but we could use the rain.

MOISTURE FROM HURRICANE JAVIER ALONG THE BAJA PENINSULA WILL PUSH NORTHWARD INTO PORTIONS OF THE MOJAVE DESERT SATURDAY RESULTING IN A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHWEST ARIZONA. A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE INTO THE WESTERN STATES SUNDAY AND MONDAY FOR INCREASING WINDS AND A SIGNIFICANT COOLING TREND.

TONIGHT...MOSTLY CLEAR... LOWS IN THE UPPER 70S... SOUTH WIND 10 TO 15 MPH.
SATURDAY...PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A 30 PERCENT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. BREEZY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 90S. SOUTH WIND 15 TO 25 MPH.
SATURDAY NIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A 40 PERCENT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. BREEZY. LOWS IN THE MID 70S. SOUTH WIND 15 TO 25 MPH.

Mike, you probably already know this, but I'll share this with everyone else.

The 13th hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean in the year 2006 will be named "Michael".

Mine will be here in 2008 as long as there are 4 hurricanes in the Eastern North Pacific Ocean. That's not likely though. :laugh

We've had an inch of rain here at the casa, my bro's at the UofA football game and they had a weather delay because of lightning. He did how ever say it was probably the worlds largest wet tshirt contest he'd ever seen :love

We just got done with our first batch of storms. I'd say better than an inch came down in about 5 minutes. Now it's picking up again. Figures. I was planning on hitting the lake this weekend.

BTW, there is no Hurricane Jordan. I'm going to start a fierce letter campaign.

had a pretty good storm here in Havasu this evening. It was mostly across the lake with lots of rain. Drove down the the lake edge tonight and captured some really cool lightning images. Here is one of them.... :good
