Want to live in Florida? :confused
Other than the beaches and Bikinis that is.  But beings how they have had 4 hurricanes in the last 6 weeks, why would ya rebuild just to take a chance again next ear?  Seems like every year at least one hurricane hits florida, I know, this year has been abnormal, but still.  One hurricane and I'd be gone!  Sitting here watching the news showing all the destruction and also the busted up and sinking boats (Why would you leave a boat in the water with a hurricane on the way? :confused  :stupid  )
I hope everyone makes it through this most recent hurricane ok, but sometimes I just question the Floridans common sense. :confused  :rolleyes  :rolleyes

Now I hear about people using a generator inside their house :eek  :rolleyes   Do folks not know what carbon monoxide poisoning is?
Showing on the news right now some people trying to tie down a boat (Looks futile with the waves and wind), I'd think that at this point, stay the F in the house until crap calms down!!!!  Man, some of these people use no common sense.

So far, 1 confirmed Hurricane Jeanne Death in Miami from a man who grabbed a downed power line (again, not a very smart thing to do :stupid  )

to each his own i guess...   i use to drive a truck and went down to florida often.  i took a trip during the winter when the rest of the east coast was getting slammed with snow and ice storms..  well down in Miami it was a beautiful 80 degrees.  i have also been told im crazy to live in So. Cal..  with the fires, earthquakes etc etc.  this has been a bad year for hurricanes in that part of the country and if i lived there now..  i would probably be considering getting what insurance money i had coming to me... and move.  even thats always a lot tougher to do then say when you have to deal with your job and family issues.

Well, latest report says 6 deaths from Hurricane Jeanne :(   I hate to hear things like that.  Maybe everyone just got a little to relaked after having 3 already, thinking everything would be ok.  If it were me, I'd be spending Hurricane season somewhere's in the mid-west or something.

You couldn't pay me to move there, I went there once to visit my daughter when she was stationed there and at the time the weather was good, but it's pretty bad when you have to have the AC on when it's only 70 degrees just to keep it from raining in the house. I couldn't believe it, the humidity is so bad that without the AC you're sweating your ass off all the time and anything metal turns to rust!.. :(

Killer in a literal sense this season.
I think the desert monsoons were the tits this year. :good
.
I think a visit to South Beach and some of the important beach sites is in order...but hell, they can't even vote down there without it turning into a storm of sorts :laugh

I hate humidity, and would hate to live in Florida.  I would say it's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there, but it really isn't even that nice of a place to visit :rotflmao   I've been there 1 time, and that was plenty :laugh

speaking as a Floridian, born and raised in the sunshine state,
you guys haven't got a clue. The weather here is hot and humid yes, but that makes for the best boating weather, also, the quality of people and attitudes in this state makes it wonderful to live here. If you're concerned about getting hurt by a little storm then leave when you see it coming, nobody ever lets you know about those earthquakes. :laugh  I'm not saying Florida is better than any where else(although that is my personal belief) but hey at least we dont have a bunch of liberal bed wetters running our state :fouet  :rotflmao  :rotflmao

Florida pros/cons:

Pro-summer temps 9-10months every year
Con-hot as hell during 6 of those months
Pro-beaches,rivers,lakes,natural springs
Con-sorry nothing bad about that
Pro-cost of living very low
Con-old retirees love this
Pro-3 NFL teams,2 NBA ,2 MLB, 3 state colleges all with national championship football programs
Con-you can only watch so much sports
Pro-thousands upon thousands of gorgeous college girls
Con-your daughter may be one of them...
Pro-miles of natural undeveloped coastline and natural forests
Con-bears,rattlesnakes,sharks,alligators.....
Pro-Miami
Con-Key West
Pro-I can, at any starting point in the state, drive two hours or less, and see the sun rise over an ocean or set over an ocean
Con-depending on where you are, you might not have a chance to choose
Pro-seeing a natural disaster before it hits(hurricanes)
Con-dumbass rednecks who think they can ride it out in a 12x40 mobile home :stupid
Pro-i live here
Con-i could go on all day with this list
:bebe  :guns  :guns  :guns
