LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – One man is dead and another in critical condition at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, following the crash of an ultra-light at the Lake Havasu City airport around 7:30 am.
William Bennett, 73, of Lake Havasu City perished when the ultra-light aircraft he was flying with an instructor went down a few hundred yards from the end of the runway according to city spokesman Charlie Cassens.
Cassens said the instructor, who has not been identified, was taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center in critical condition and was later flown out to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Cassens said that the cause of the crash is under investigation by local authorities, although they are keeping the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration apprised of their findings.

Dang 73yrs old!. That's sad but cool, at least he died doing what liked to do, beats croaking in a fkn rockin chair! :rolleyes Or by some drunkin POS!.. :angry
