Man, that brings back some bad memories.  This time last year, I sat in my front yard and watched slurry bombers and helicopters fight the Missionary Ridge Fire (final tally was 450,000 acres burned).  We burned and choked on smoke for well over 2 months.  The fire storms scrubbed some of the hillsides completely clean, it looked like someone dropped a nuke in places.

Then the rain came, good for the fire, bad for the mudslides.  People who had battled to keep their houses from being consumed by the fire, now had them knocked off the foundation by rivers of mud, and boulders the size of large pickup trucks.

It sounds cliche, but some of the destruction was biblical.  I'll see if I can find some picks for you guys.

The pictures taken at night are surreal.

A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.
