It's actually a 1983 CR-480, the last year before they made 500's I think. Â What's cool about it is that starting this year, it's considered "vintage" and can be raced in "vintage" class. Â The value just went from $0 to about $20. :rotflmao

That's sweet, thanks again Doug!!!! I love it. I'll give it a great home.

This will be my first real dirt bike. I did some research last night on the net, they were made in 82 and 83, then they made the 500 in '84. The 480 is considered a strong bike but parts are getting hard to come by and pricey.

I was planning to get my son a Honda 50 later this year, so now I'll have something to ride too!!!

BTW, anyone have a line a small trailer....... :;):

Ahhh sweet memories...that reminds me of when I was younger and we would go to some family friend's cabin in the snow...ride dirt bike down this steep hill and crash into the snow banks (on purpose) then we'd roll around in the snow laughing our butts off :rotflmao

...great fun when you're a kid...it's probably all those 'fun' stunts I did as a kid that are aching now in later life? :rolleys

That is a sweet old bike and those 480's will loop you over and pound your skull into the ground if you're not careful with them.

So with everyone getting quads and bikes, when are we going to have to start loading up other toys to take to the river along with the boat?
