Well, ya see....My brother moved into his new house just a few days earlier and was inviting everyone over to "break in " the new pad. My plan was to email Chaddy or Nashvillebound a few days earlier to get the directions in case I had time to cruise over there sometime that evening. Or I figured I could atleast call RD or CC to get last min directions...Anyways, all plans failed because I had to take my wife to the E.R. tuesday afternoon. Spent all day in La Mesa......At the last possible min. she told me to bolt to my bro's pad to ring in the new year. You wouldn't believe it, but there was nobody on the freeway at 11:30 pm..I made the 45 min drive in 24 min...yelled Happy new year, drove a couple drunks home, and strolled in around 2:30 am...Woke up my mom and sent her home....put my daughter into her bed, and called it a night...The eventful uneventful. 
What totally sucked is that you guys were lesss than 15 min away....Via a couple back dirt roads
