Found hair line crack in crank. Just ordered a new stroker crank from back east. Will be here on Monday. Still hoping to be at Elsinore on the 15th & 16th

As much as that sucks, aren't you glad you found it now instead of in the middle of the lake after everything is back together? Gotta look on the bright side, especially with this kind of high dollar hobby stuff.

Two memories came to mind when I read this. First, when I had to install new heads the day before I was leaving on a week long river trip. Second, when Jordy had to quickly get his motor together for RiverDave's B-Day Bash 2002. I didn't think he was going to make it at the rate he was posting.
87 Cole, even if you don't get the motor together, come to Elsinore anyway. They'll be plenty of rides there already.

Hey Doug, I hope to have the Dam thing completed. I'll work on it in the evenings all week. Once I get the new crank everything needs to be balanced again. Turning 7800 RPM it's got to be right. I'll still show up either way to put a few names to faces. TWYL

Rounded off a few lobs on the cam. With all the metal going through the block. I replaced the valve train with full Crane roller assembly. Lots of presssure on the old solid lifters. 13:1 compression didn't help the situation either
