I'm still working on it so it will come and go. I ultimately want it to show the last 5 posts. I just have to play with the code to alllow that.

The trick is to not get TOO fancy. There's tons of stuff that can be done, but if I do too much, it will become distracting. I'll just try a little at a time and see how it goes. BTW, my goal is to get the last 5 posts to scroll.

I donâ€™t know if itâ€™s just my computer but it seems to be moving really fast and jerky right now. It is really hard to read and making me a little dizzy. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? :stupid

OK, I got it to do what I originally had invisioned; The 5 lastest posts scrolling by. It will only update for the viewer after some action on their part like board activity or screen refresh. The cool thing is you can stay in one thread and see what's going on in the others. :cool

BTW, it scrolls way faster with Netscape.

This scrolling feature would have been cool to have when we were posting about Betty in the War Strategy Room. It shows posts from all of the member forums, but if a guest clicked a link to a thread posted in a member only forum, it would say that they weren't authorized to read the thread. :rotflmao

Some don't like it so hopefully they'll get used to it.

Personally, I think it comes in handy. It saves the time it takes to go to the main forum view to see what the latest activity was. Even then, that view only shows the last post from each particular forum. This scrolling dealio shows the last 5 posts regardless of what forum they are in.
