I notice that several of you have your own web sites. Â I would like to extend my business to you. Â We have several servers and always have space available. Â We offer hosting with 500MB - 2 GB Transfer, Forums, OsCommerce Shopping Carts, live chat, too many things to list. Â We include everything we have under one price. Â Excluding additional space or transfer with is available in equal amounts. Â We have redundant everything and offer instance backup files. Â We charge $7.95/Month. Â Check us out at Btwixt Hosting and see everything we include. Â We have unlimited emails, so a great forum host could provide top posters a email address at their domain. Â We would love to provide some of you doing your own web sites a complete choice. Â The best thing, we actually have PHPNuke which is a full content manager, so between it and the Forum, Chat and OsCommerce you can build a complete site with little experience. Â These are our own servers, we are not reselling anothers hosting service.

Free web hosting plans are okay. Â With a free one you have to put up with some of the popup ads and banners that they get paid for. Â Each time someone visits your web site and clicks on one they are hoping to get paid up to a buck or something. Â The price they have agreed to. Â The servers are generally slower and host many accounts on them. Â They are limited in what they offer. Â No really nice forums. Â Like the forum here at Havasu Doug's page. Â This one is a good one, the one we have standard with every accont is twice as nice on the user end and the administrative end. Â But don't get me wrong. Â If you are just posting some content and pictures and have a guestbook free is okay. Â I use to run free (ads paid for the servers and sites) type of service and made a lot of money doing it. Â I got out of it because of the never ending nightmare of managing them. Â I starting getting every Tom, Dick and Harry hosting whom knew nothing about web programming and they would ask a billion questions in which I had to make an attempt to support. Â FREE hosting is good for some people and not enough for others. Â I just thought I would let everyone know. Â I know where this site is hosted and it is quite a bit more than what we charge. Â At one time I charged $49.95/month. Â But those days are long gone because of the influx of web hosting companies out there. Â Many of these sites aren't managed properly but they still knock down the rates through supply and demand. Â I still think we have some of the best servers, fastest connections and best support. Also don't forget that you can have your own URL and not something as a sub-domain.

Quote (Kindsvater Flat @ July 13 2003,8:40 pm) | Figure out how to transfer my domain name and I will pay the 8 bucks a month. The address I own is www.v-drivevideo.com.
Forgot to say the reason why. Every month when I pay they say the credit card is no good. I call them personally and it goes right through until the next month. |
I don't know if everyone in here knows your real name, so incase you want to keep it that way I will not ask you the information. If you have had your URL for more and 60 days and it is not expired now or withing 21 days you can go to our secure server and transfer; http://www.secureserver.net/default.asp?prog_id=Btwixt we charge $8.99 for the transfer which include 1 additional year on your domain. Then we can set you up a site. You can contact me personally at linux@btwixt.com if you wish. Provide me a number and I can call you.

If you are under a total of 500MB the same price. We generally charge for the entire year which is $95.40, breaks down to $7.95 per month. See my reply about transferring the domain. Remember that is you maintaining the site, not us, we are just a hosting and development company. We have additional plans up to 1.5 GB triple the price, after that we will give you an even greater discount. Again if you would like to further discuss provide me a number and I will call you or email me linux@btwixt.com.
