Quote (Carrera Elite @ Sep. 22 2007,9:42 am) | For Our Local Lakes?? Â I'm Sure It's Lower..... |
Interesting summer for me. Early in the year, my work boat shattered a piston. Merc 225 Offshore, usually pretty reliable with only about 200 hours and 22 months on the clock. Anyway, in order to get the motor repaired under warranty I had to...basically get the PO from god himself. Either that or have the county foot the bill for a new power head and labor, 8 grand. So, what that meant for me was that my boat was out of service for most of the summer, and I worked the river, again. Anyway, we really don't get that many "arrests" on the lakes in comparison to the river (Lower Salt River). River squad beats the all the county lakes combined 5:1. Out of those arrests, that is the ones on the river, about 40% are from...
Not to offend anyone here...
Tucson!!!
I guess you can pretty much do what you want in Tucson, but when they come here to tube the river, they usually get the whole experience. That usually entails: 1) consuming WAY to much alcohol or other mind altering chemicals 2) becoming rude, obnoxious, and indecent while tubing 3) pissing someone else off who is bigger than them while committing #2. 4) getting their ass kicked by the bigger person listed in #3. 5) doing something stupid like throwing rocks at the deputies as they pass in their vehicles or boats 6) getting arrested for #5. 7) resisting arrest after their stoned self proclaimed lawyer friend tells them "this is BS Dude" 8) getting their ass kicked by the deputies in the act of #7. 9) going to jail in nothing but their shorts or a bikini (jailhouse favorite) 10) returning the next weekend to repeat steps 1-9
These are the river ratz, the lake people rarely give us any problems. Just a dozen drownings so far this year, about a million medical calls (those new wakeboard bindings are so tight they are breaking legs right and left...literally) and a few car wreck. Its all fun, tomorrow is the official end of summer for us
Carbon Monoxide poisoning kills boaters. Â Take the time to learn about it and how to avoid it.

Dang... Kinda glad we're still "old skool" waterskiers... The younger boys now have wakeskates as well...
