I have been looking for a "free" paint program that will better reduce gigantic digital images down to a "postable" size and somewhat maintain the image quality.

Paint.Net works pretty good, it incorporates layers (ala Photoshop), and has some interesting effects that I have not seen before... :cool

Regular Image...


RELIEF...make the flames look 3D...


MIRROR TILE... :love


PENCIL SKETCH... :rolleyes


INVERSION... :stupid


Lots of others, EMBOSS, PIXELATE, OUTLINE, the usuals...
All the EFFECTS are fully adjustable... :cool

Only problem...no batch mode, so it takes FOREVER to process through a few hundred digitals... :beat  :banghead

Here's a file that originally was 6 megs, some 3000 x 2000 pixels in dimension.

Quite an improvement, a noticeable difference on the Eliminator Website, and FREE...!!  :jumpie

Any other image tools out there to recommend...??  :stupid

Yep, and the editor is real good, I been using it since they came out when all it was was a real fast viewer, while all the rest were super slow!.. :good
