Howdy HD peeps, long time no post!
We've been staying busy at Apache, but girlfriend and I are going to Parker Strip this Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 5th thru the 9th.  We go every year on Columbus Day, and usually stay at Bluewater, but the Indians have it all booked up for their big Pow Wow.
Anybody know of a nice, affordable rental??
Anybody else going this weekend?
Thanx. Talk soon....................
Kurt

Well, we found a house on the river with a private slip and launch ramp, a couple miles upstream from the Bluewater for $100 a night.
I read somewhere that there is now a zero tolerance drinking law on the Strip.  Does anybody know about this??  Last time I was there, it was okay to have open containers in boat, even drink a beer or two as long as your are operating safe, and not over legal limit.  Has this changed??  Is Baddenocks and Foxs still open?  Anything else change there over the past year, or is there anything new that's a "must see"??
Thanx

$100/night, on the water, prvt ramp and slip??

Sounds like a great deal to me. Is this avg price in that area?
I've got a home above Needles and I've often wondered what I could get for it for a weekend.

Found it on Craigslist.  Just got the keys in the mail today, will let you know how it works out - as long as nobody tries to sneak in on my Columbus Day weekend for next year!!
Rates for just about everything seem to be going down now, good deals coming up for the cooler months - thats fine with me, river is to friggin hot in July - August.  I love it down there this time of year. I'm gonna start a NEW THREAD about the zero tolerance law, want to find out more about it.
I'll post pics next week :good

cool.  would love to see some info from you on the place.

I'm with you on the summer temps. even though we have a place, we tend to stay near the beach during the hottest months. Like the river March thru June and again starting Oct.

$100/night is pretty damm good.  We paid almost $400 a night for that place in the Keyes.  When you divide it up 3 ways, it's not bad.  Actually, it's about the same price as the Bluewater, but you get a kitchen included.
