Ok, I was wondering, where do you guys look for jobs at online, where is a good place, I look at monster.com and craigeslist, and your Phx news paper, But I feel that this is not the best place to look, I mean when looking for driver jobs, I only get the big company's that NOBODY in there right mind would drive for, so give me some pointers here, I know here all the companys, and there not many here anymore, but unsure about out there, oh by the way 3 more companys are closing there doors today, another 1000 folks out of a job, plus one of my co-workers wife call him and said that here and 6 others got there pink slip yesterday, he is readly bummen.

WOW, that sucks big time!.  Here's a place I worked for a while back, it's a temp place but it's a good way to find all the different outfits around the area, you can work local, long/short haul whatever you want when you want, you can get a steady place or you can float the board and try different places, you can run groceries to dirt haulin it's up to you, might want to give them a call they're always hiring since a lot of drivers get hired on by different companys they worked for as temps!..

Back on the JOBS search, I found the best leads through the EDD, Unemployment Department.... 
I have gotten calls through posting on the various boards, but they never amount to squat...
The best method...?? COLD CALLING... Pick where you want to work, and be persistent....

Santa Fe Railroad is doing alot of expansion...big project out here in the Cajon Pass. Might be worth a look...

Thanks for some of the leads, I knew their had to be more places to look for adds, Like I said before, most of these companys post in the paper everyday, and the reason is cuz they can't keep nobody, I don't need that, I'm just looking right now, If something should come up that is good, I mean realy good, then I will go try it out, I know a buddy of mine is a O/O with Nestle, and he is doing real well, he runs to the south and back, I Have thought about buying my own truck again, I so want to build and run a nice show truck, I love the road and I'm missing it again, this day job is ok, but the road is where I belong, But Not long haul anymore, I found an add for someone looking for a O/O to run from Phx to the motor city 2 time a week with 8 to 10 cars, And that right there is want you want to make money, IF I had my truck still I would be all over that run, I drive to Phx with my eyes closed.LOL

That was a long time coming. Â There have been scandals for years involving him and his closest colleagues. Â His number 2 guy from a couple years ago is already in jail. Now his wife AND girlfriend are going down with him too. |
Did you say his wife and girlfriend are going down on him? Â I wish my wife would let me get a girlfriend to help her do the job! Â  Â We met a guy once who introduced his wife and girlfriend to us together. They were all happy with their situation. Later, in jest, I commented how lucky he was. Well, I wasn't!  Â Â Â  Â I got all of that and more. I'll never say something dumb like that again!!
