More trivia for you.  Originally, the German "Tannenbaum" was a 3-4 foot table tree, at least that's what my Grandmother told me.  Ziggy, have you heard that?

Got the lights up yesterday as well. Didn't go as crazy as in years past. Can't handle the extra $200 for the electricity in December. Kinda go Griswold ya know... :jumpie

We go Budget billing, our bill is allways the same :D With the mild Summer and Fall this year I've got about a $500.00 credit so I'm thinking of spending it on some additional lighting power :good

Budget billing I assume is same as our level pay plan. Looked into it once. It was about the same for me. $40 per month more than I was using. I said no.

I started it at around 195.00 a month and have had it adjusted a few times down to 165.00 and usually have 2 months in the bank still. I've thought of going down to $150 but in the Summer we push $200 quite abit or if the Hot tub gets fired up :beer Its nice to have a little bankroll sitting there.

What's this, you have a choice? Now that sounds better. Out here they just look up your past usage, average it out, add a bit so you don't get upside down, and say it will be this much per month, adjusted yearly if needed. I think I'll make a call to see if we've changed.

You have to present it to them and they approve it or not. I always have a surplus so they have been letting me lower it a bit at a time, but they do have the final say. :comp

I think I like your company better, PG&E? Tough question. With your "bank", if you didn't make a payment, would they deduct it from "bank", or come on out and disconnect you? My next door neighbor is on the level pay plan and he missed a payment. They can out to DC him even though he had banked about 300 and the bill was only 120. Learned all about this because I paid the bill for him. He wasn't home. I thought it was kinda chicken shit of SCE.

We are with TEP, remember I'm in AZ. They will let you pay your bill from you "bank" but only if you tell them to. No auto pay that I'm aware of :stupid

I'm waiting until Saturday to inflate the tree. I got a new bulb this year so that's exciting.  :good

Since I'm in the process of building a new mantle and hearth at the fireplace my wife is giving me a bit of leeway. That means I have until Saturday to finish it or I'm toast. :banghead

At least I'm off the hook for a big outdoor display......like this:
