When we recently moved into our house we replaced all the bulbs to the energy savers. The only ones that I wouldn't allow hubby to replace were the ones where you can see the bulb like all of the ceiling fans...

I put them in our 3 outside lights a year and 3 months ago. I admit I do not like the looks of them but they sure last one hell of a lot longer than a regular bulb. I was changing the regular nice looking bulbs every 2 1/2 to 3 months.

i can't buy into the whole LED Christmas light thing though. I personally think that they are ugly and too bright-- there has got to be a way to design the cover of the bulb to give off the warm glow of a regular Christmas light......

Hmm, I thought that they weren't as bright??? I went to a store in SD near Sea World, they had a story on the news about the LED bulbs and said that they had plenty in stock, I know why they had plenty in stock, $59 for a box of 25 bulbs, not including the power cords, the salesman tried to tell me how great they were, I picked up a couple of boxes, walked around the store for about an hour then set them down and left, that store is smoking crack, stupid thing is there were people picking up the boxes left and right...
RIVER! If you have to ask you wont understand...

Ok, what is all this talk about "CF" bulbs, what does CF stand for, this must be a cali fo you thing,LOL, As for the X-mas lights, can't find the LED one's, I have seen them on tree and things, I know you have no tree in cali, but we do, And I would love to find some, but can't, as far as the mini lights go, yes they are a pain in the a$$, I have 4 totes full of the things, if they quit, I pull the light out and toss it.
