In case you guys haven't heard, Bobby posted on RDP today that Windy will be returning home in the next couple of weeks. She'll actually be in San Diego Naval Hospital for some rehab and care, but she's out of harms way. :jumpie

Windy was walking across a compound, in effort to do her job. She fell in to a hole and was injured. After trying her best to tough it out, over three weeks, she was diagnosed with a broken hip. After dealing with the powers that be, the Navy decided she should have surgery on that hip. This was done in Germany, two days ago.

Soon, Windy will be on her way home from abroad to San Diego, Balboa Med/Cent. She should be home within two weeks.

This Sailor was in the running for "Sailor of the Year" honors. She served her country with distinction. We should all take time to thank her and her loved ones for the sacrifice they endured!

Please take this at heart, do not ask any more questions.

Geez, in her last letter she talked about being sore from working out but this is much different than that.
Hope she heals quick and gets home to her hubby and daughter sooner than later.
I'm sure some of So Cal peeps will be visiting her in San Diego.

We do not really need to know details....the only important thing is that she can be fixed and will recover. I'm sure the only real want for Windy right now is to be with her wonderful hubby and beautiful daughter! Spend some time with them, we have plenty of time to celebrate! You're done your job soldier.....now it's time for you to rest. Rest your heart, and your mind, and find peace in those that love you!

If we want to lend a hand... maybe we could all cheer her off of her plane and be there with homemade dinners to freeze so that the family can just be right now!

We all know Windy....when she's ready to party she'll let us know!
