They have Mead going up by 4 inches. thats a lot of water. But Mohave and Havasu continue to go down. Just seems like this time of year with water usage being at its lowest, they would be filling all the dams up as much as possible.

Havasu will never flux more than 4-6 feet; it's the last in the chain. Mojave will stay pretty uniform as well. It's the "last stop" for storage before Mexico...

It's my understanding that the priority is on Powell to open up the "Cut", before moving storage to Mead.

... and there is another storm on the way... with the wettest months of the season being March and April...

The run-off doesn't start until late April, early May, and peaks in early June... Don't expect much lake level movement until then...

Hopefully we have a nice gental warm spring, otherwise parts of Colorado are going to flood.

Jethead is the water guru.....here's his post from another site..

"Last I heard, the Colorado River basin snowpack is 140%. A mini-flood is planned for the beginning of March out of Glen Canyon (40,000 ft3/s for 60 hours). This might help the Mead levels a tenth of foot or so."

The last time we had that much snow (winter of 92/93, and then again in 96/97)... they refilled Powell...
