I guess the article I read was pretty short on facts.....I found this in a San Jose newspaper of all places:
Minus four members, the council voted 10-1 in favor of the ordinance, prompting a sustained ovation from the overflow crowd at the council's San Fernando Valley chamber.
The council president cautioned that an ordinance requires 12 votes on first reading, but on a second reading set for next week it will only require a simple majority.
"I've not seen one overturned in my time ... but just to let you know that's when it will be official should the vote be upheld," he said. that was Feb. 1st.
But I couldn't find reference to 45 days......damn politicians! Â 
Why can't a law be a law when it's signed for Pete's sake? or vice a versa

I'm pretty sure the long delay for the cell phone law was so Ahhhnold could have plenty of time to try out a few dozen models of the bluetooth earphones to find the one he likes best! 
used to be for a while there everywhere I went someone was talking to thin air...then I saw the earpiece. I guess there's more to come in July, huh?  |
People who use them BT head-sets in public places are just plain annoying... Guess it makes them feel impotent, or sumpin'...

Not to bad after I got her convinced it doesn't effect us. Then she spent the rest of the night looking at properties in Havi. Quite a few deals right now. Hundreds of bank owned.
